I like and I love it, waiting for the maple fretboard but where is my 24 frets? I like PRS for their extra frets. So Instead I just purchased a PRS SE CE 24 from AMS, blood orange color.

I bought the l7 after watching this video. It was frankly a very bad decision. Yes the guitar plays great and feels great but it is the worst sounding guitar I’ve ever bought. Unfortunately I dint have a chance to play it before I buy it. So it was a blind buy. The guitar has no mids. It sounds hollow and harsh , doesn’t cut through in the band even with mids cracked all the way to 10 on my amp. Got it rewired from a tech. Same issue. But an old pair of Seymour Duncan’s with no luck. The guitar sounds the same with any pickup. The wiring is perfect so are the pickups. It sounds as if the pickups are phasing out. Read similar issues online about this guitar. Sharing this so that more people don’t waste their money on this guitar. Playability is important but more important is how it sounds..

Great & simple review, thank you Darrell! I have a Fender AM Pro 2 HSS that I want to convert to a SSS (I already have a Squier HSS with the Obsidian 7-Way Switch & several dual humbucker guitars so it's kind of redundant). The blender looks like a great option as I don't like the raised tone knob on either push/push or push/pull knobs and I prefer a master tone knob.

I Can,t look at a 2 pickup les paul and a 3 pickup sg 😂

I owned a injunction Ibanez Les Paul and even then it was superior to the Gibson in quality looked and sounded great. The RG is further refinement of that and has a lot more tone variations so I think it's the better guitar usually at a price where your not paying for the namel

Nylon. Trust me I have both, no comparison, steel doesn't hit the same. Nylon sounds more passionate if that's a thingm

Depends on the what you are trying to play. Strat is also much lighter and easier on the neck.

So I bought the blue sire S7., I had to wait 3 months, back ordered from sweetwater. I LOVE IT!! the neck is so beautiful. I wish the neck was a little thicker, like a fender, but it still love it. So Darrell, do i buy the sire Les Paul model or do I buy an Epiphone?

Squier deluxe , an upgrade and sounds like a am strat

I installed a tremol-no, which comes with a upgraded claw. Made a noticeable difference in the vibration of the body.

Saw this is shop for the first time and it deserves more hype. So good, feels great and looks amazing

I own some Eastwood guitars. The higher price range is very good and tey are totally different to Fender or Gibson style. My number one from them is the Backlund Model 100. I missed Duesenberg too in your list. But thanks a lot for this video.

*My 2-cents here really offends the gear snobs and still often offends other guitarists in general.* Pickups are about the biggest scam in devices for electric guitar in respect to what they charge us for them. *What is ultimately very telling is finding players who are shred and sweep guys on a tube amp that is a $5K rig, and they have installed a thin blade humbucker for 8 bucks that sounds immaculate lol* I am a long winded wordsmith so I will by making the point that my formal and scientific college education is in electrical/electronics engineering. *I have qualifications coupled with 30 years of technical trade skills to make the claims I do.* I've paid through the nose for upgrades just like everyone else but over those 30 years, have learned a tremendous amount. *The custom active Class-A modules I've designed and built absolutely demolish the quality of what comes out of a $200 set of EMG's and mine are often on a set of humbuckers that were 15-20 bucks.* The advantage of actives is you can get the identical sound you had when they were passive but with 20x the voltage output, or you can add various filters and circuit schemes to turn it into something completely different. Whether the pickup costs $2, $20 or $100, if it has some specific base characteristics like low noise, *you can turn it into anything you desire with $2 in active parts in my examples lol.*

Great video Darell. I could tell very little difference on this end. I agree it's in the individual's personal taste as to how thick or thin the neck should be.
